Project Summary

Description

Before the solar heating plant the supply of heat was straw as the main source, supplied by pellets and a little oil in the peak winter load.
The solar heating plant was initiated to be able to stop the straw boiler at summer time and to use the heat storage in winter to reduce the demand for oil.

„The combination of bio­mass and solar heating is optimal, when a longer period in summer can be 100 % solar supplied. This is obtained in Aeroeskoebing.
In this period repairwork can be made at the straw boiler system as well as the straw handling system.
The only wish for a future extension is to increase the solar fraction to a level of 20 %, ensuring a longer period without operation of biomass boilers.“
