The assessment deals with a solar thermal system to be installed on a typical Berlin building with front-, side and rear building.
The building has been renovated in 1997 including the heating system. The assessment examined the additional installation of a solar thermal system.
The building is suitable for a solar thermal plant, although the proposed collector area had to be reduced by around 2 m2 from the economical optimum due to less roof area.
