The assessment deals with a solar thermal system to be installed on a typical Berlin building from the beginning of 20th century, composed of front-, side and rear building.
The building has been renovated in 2007, including the heating system. The energy service company, who provides heat for the building, was very motivated to implement a solar solution.
The building is suitable for a solar thermal plant. Within the comparison of a simple hot water generation and a combined system during the assessment, the hot water system was more feasible both from technical and economical point of view. The plant will be built in December 2007.
