The assessment deals with a solar thermal system to be installed on a group of buildings near the central airport Tempelhof in Berlin.
The condominium owners already had a high motivation for renewables, within the Berlin SOLARGE campaign these plans have been specified for solar thermal, an implementation is likely to be done in 2008.
The building is suitable for a solar thermal plant – implemented as a complete solution with central solar control unit (SEZ) including the renovation of the heating system and a change from fuel oil to gas, the proposed energy savings and CO2 reduction are very high.
