Youth centre (former mine's shower facilities) | 29 sqm installation



The building of former mine’s wardrobe and shower bath Kotredež is planned to be renovated in the next three years into a low energy building with low-exergy building services. In the building a Youth centre will be located and the building will have a central solar thermal system for sanitary water heating. Solar collectors will be installed on a roof with a tilt angle of 60° in order to prevent overheating in the summer months when hot water consumption is expected to be low.
The solar system with flat plate collectors and thermal power of 20.5 kWth leads to 63 % of energy savings for sanitary water heating. In addition, 3 tons of CO2-emissions will be avoided per year.
