Project Summary
Description Social housing association WonenBreburg realised a 354 m2 collective solar thermal system on the roof of one of their apartment buildings with 16 floors and 256 dwellings. The system is placed as part of an overall renovation of the building. Small individual gas-fired kitchen tap water heaters that emitted exhaust gases into the dwellings have been replaced by a central solar hot water system and the ventilation system has been improved. Furthermore the mostly senior tenants were offered freedom of choice between several packages for renovation of the bathroom, kitchen and toilet. The realisation of this system fits in WonenBreburg’s policies and in the energy covenant agreements closed between the social housing associations in Tilburg and the municipality.
